If you have a lot of resources and have enough money to compensate your needs.. then selling your Bitcoins is not an really option. You should invest with your Bitcoins rather than selling. Just my thoughts. 
yeah I think there are some considerations before you have to hold your bitcoin longer, certainly one of them is that you still have enough money left to pay the cost of your need in real life, then you can hold your bitcoin longer
