No I do not think that its way better than the bitcoin but they both have their good things so I do not think we can say something about it in the overall.
They also have their ups and downs too.
That is the best way to say things and the safest decision to day at this point of time. But in my case I will look back in history and Gold has proved himself hundred or thousand of years ago. Even the ancient people uses gold and up to this point this precious metal is still precious and has backing up paper currency that backs up bitcoin. So in my case due to this discovery after reading some documentaries i will conclude that gold is better than bitcoin.
