Trading altcoin is good if you have a good knowledge of it and for me the best and safest investment is to invest in gold and real estates as both have great potential to give good profits in long run.
Even if you're an experienced altcoin trader you still depend largely on pump and dumps that may or may not come.
Unless you're very close to the developers of these coins, you will depend on luck as you just buy yourself into altcoins in the hope they get pumped badly.
Depending on luck and hopes are not really something that I consider to be a convenient way of making money.

Knowledge about the new coins on ICO is nothing since all traders idea or view about that coin on ICO will eventuallly ruined by those big hoarders.
People getting profit in those coins at ICO since they able to ride the current price movement of those whales. Just needs focus and closely monitor the price so that we won't be late. That's how risky altcoin trading is.
