I love them both and I think they both have their up and down sided, as a example you cannot pay with gold and with the bitcoin you can all over the world.
Bitcoin is unstable, the gold is pretty stable.
that is what everybody should feel like about these two in my opinion.
you should consider both of them as investment because Gold is an old investment with lots of potential and good security for your money and bitcoin on the other hand is a rising investment with lots of profit to be made.
