I like the look of it too, but I wish it was based on Counterparty.

I remember less then half year ago, many here thought SoG should be on Ethereum. Now it happened that ICONOMIC cant even issue and distribute their tooken on schedule.  Things change fast in Crypto. I guess that is what BtV are counting on.

I guess it was good for SoG to stick to Counterparty.

Maybe there will be some SoG cards that could work with BtV and viceversa.
Not sure how it'll work technically between the 2 different blockchains... we can only wait and see.

Well, I do not understand why SoG have to live only on the bitcoin blockchain, SoG have a centralized server that properly coded could read more than one blockchain, so potentially any player could provide more than 1 type of blockchain address, and SoG could handle cards ore other object on any blockchain.
The real revolution is a multi blockchain game/service. Blockchains are only ledgers (ok Ethereum is more than a ledger).
So the discussion on what blockchain is better dosesn't have much sense. And BTW the bitcoin blockchain is NOT the ideal for card exchange, too slow, too costly.

This is true, but its less easy for players to have assets from multiple blockchains in the same wallet, which is why I'd prefer to see games using the same protocol; but ultimately its not a big deal really.

When thinking more. I dont really see a way how could one asset be on 2 blockchains.  It seems SoG and BtV already did solve this problem at least in theory. I cant. I see unsolved double spending problem.  How will Ethereun blockchain know if i will sell my asset on Counterparty blockchain?

It is not necessary, (for example) Ethereum based cards live on ethetreum, counterparty based cards on bitcoin. I think about two kind of cards, Sog Servers could handle them togheter

But that are then 2 different assets that mean same in each game.  This will bring that price will be most likely different.  If 100 cards will be issued on Ethereum and 100 on counterparty.  Or maybe price will stay same.  I guess we will just need to wait and see.
Yes it is posible this way.

They don't necessarily need to mean the same I don't think; each game can accept an asset from the other blockchain which is different from all of their own assets.
