I don't think the lack of marketing strategies is the main reason. Ceal has no obvious advantage over its opponents Steem and Synereo. Also, it seems there's no business model in this project.

I honestly don't know much about the architecture behind steem or synereo. Are they both 100% anonymous (hides IP/identity)? Encrypted messaging? It would seem to me that they don't have the same goal as ours, which is simply freedom of speech and trade. Anti-censorship if you will.
