The FUND ISSUERS are ICONOMI, and ICONOMI did not sell ICN in the US, they sold ICN on their iconomi.net site which is NOT based in the USA.
I don't see any problems with that.
We're talking about what needs to happen before ICN is listed on Poloniex or Bittrex.
There's a lot of hand-waving "Iconomi is foreign so it's ok!" misinformation in this thread. As if there are no practical barriers to listing.
They're all USA exchanges, and Kraken is fully a compliant KYC exchange, which is probably what Polo(Delaware) and Bittrex(Vegas) is looking at imho... KYC rules.
