Well, NEM is still in a early stage regarding technology. Only a small part of the planned features are released yet. 8 bln market cap is possible when all planned features are implemented and it achieved usage for mainstream applications. As with other projects, there is still a long way to go for NEM. But I've been around for a long time and I'm very hopeful, as the team and the community is great.
