Can someone explain to me the use of risers? I've build literally 500 gaming PCs but never come across the need.
Am I right in thinking that you're boosting out a x1 slot to a x16 to connect additional cards?
I have a P6T Deluxe at the moment (

]. There is a PCI slot free and a fake x16 at the bottom free, can I use a riser to connect an additional older card?
I have headroom on the PSU - hopefully.
And final question, would the driver allow me to CF the 7950s with an additional incompatible 3rd card sitting there?
