I think block your internet is not the answer for stay away from gambling, it will make you bored and will come back into gambling. Find a new hobby is a good plan though.
Or maybe find some real life activities, like playing cricket, playing soccer and if you have no interest in these then try to watch movies and avoid gambling. Being involved in physical activities in better than uselessly blocking internet and then regretting.
I agree, physical activities will give you a healthy lifestyle and you can easily forget your problem as you will be meeting new friend to socialize with,with them you can learn other insights that would interest your to live a healthy lifestyle.

blocking the internet is really not the solution in this kind of habit because once you want to play again you can simply unblock it and play again, So, blocking the internet also too impossible to do. Because how can you visit other site if you will block the internet, like facebook, twitter, instagram. so stop fooling yourself by blocking that internet.  Grin
That would not really help a lot, you are just fooling your self because when you addiction strikes again you can easily do unblock and then gamble again, much better to destroy your computer and disconnect your internet in your house.
You can't also destroy your computer either. I guess much better if you find something you can do in physical way to enjoy yourself to quit in gambling. I know that there is no easy way to quit who's really addicted in gambling but they must also try little by little.
people who are addicted sometimes they are difficult to awaken oneself from addiction. so they need help from the most important people in their lives or their loved ones. all the ways that you mention it will be useless, because this is a matter about yourself. if you really do have a strong determination to quit. in any way could be good for you.
