There is good point in that article:
When a nation moves to a cashless society, it sounds great, until you realize that no cash means no privacy and no accountability to the nations banks or governments. The ability to obtain and transact in cash is important for citizens because it gives them the ability to divest themselves from the banking institution if their policies, rates, service or fees are no longer competitive. The ability to move to a bank of their choice could be gone forever.
And Karbowanec together with other privacy centric cryptos provides fungibility just like cash thanks to it's privacy and anonymity. So it can be used as local electronic cash, alternative for cashless economy, independent of government and banks. Sooner or later people will realize that. What is needed is proper education and highlighting concerns and cons of controlled money vs independent ones. I hope our community will grow, the Karbowanec will get its Fund and Development team and no longer be one man project as a single point of failure and coerce.
In county with enormous unbelievable level of corruption, where PayPal can not enter due to artificial barriers, other payment networks get banned (do anyone really believe it is done for good as a fight with terrorism and Russian aggressor?) this "cashless economy" is going to be operating through local payment network "Prostir". It is like local Visa. Seriously?
They will call it fight with terrorism, and corruption, most important - tax evasion. But this will be just payment network utilizing blockchain tech between banks, don't worry, for ordinary people it means nothing. Maybe it is just opportunity to wash out some money
