I think he started the project with the best intentions, because I also don't get why he made updates for the wallets even after the funds were released from escrow if he planned on scamming. He just messed things up, doesn't have time anymore, something got in the way in his personal life or other things.
It is strange how this went.
So he is still alive?
We really need someone who can takeover the project ..
yes someone to take over the project would be a better idea. it still worth saving really. but that is if he is willing.
we still could trade with the coins acquired if he hand it over to someone who wants to take over.
