Try collecting from faucets if you have free time. It may only be a little BTC but it's better than nothing and its free. Also if BTC keeps going up and if you plan on purchasing the cord with BTC you'll get to $10 in no time.
Yeah, I've used faucets in the past. I think last April was the last time I actually USED a Bitcoin faucet. It was Moon Bitcoin, or something like that. They kind of drove me away from crypto-currency for a while, not because they payed so little, but because I got a virus from one. At least I think it was from a faucet site. Never had a problem with my computer until I used them. But if you can recommend any I would definitely get started back up again.
You may be thinking, "Hey, didn't you say you were new to cryptocurrency?" and the answer is "Yes, in the sense that I'm looking deeper into just the monetary value". Plus I was only into Bitcoin for a week or so anyway, so it doesn't really count
