There are tribal societies in South America and Oceania, which are isolated from the civilization. There is no modern medicine available to these people. Yet, the average life-expectancy is somewhere around 25 years. Compare that to the life expectancy of 85 years in Japan. Still you believe that modern medicine causes a decrease in the life expectancy?
