https://coinmarketcap.com . Look for the top 10 or top 20 coins there. Look the graph for their performance, coins in circulation and above all the market capitalization. I think this would give you an idea.
I agree with this honestly i choose almost the top 20 in coinmarket cap some of them not giving me profit but i am still holding it and wait for the right time to sell it.. This coin makes me profit before are eth and monero and i think after this few month or weeks ethereum will rise again because the price is gradually decrease they will transfer back again to ethereum..
