Oh, I know.  That's life for those of us who desperately try to cling to old software and operating systems past their prime, LOL

I'm used to it by now: there's never any promise stuff will continue to work. 

Yet I just always want to ASK for 'backward compatibility' anyway because if nobody asks then nobody ever thinks it's important.  But IMHO it is important, FWIW...

And YES thank you for everything you're doing for the GUI and everything... a beer or three on me too, some day indeed
