As far as I know cloud mining has always been a scam, the only difference was when they stop paying you: after they give you 60% of your investment or sooner. So the halving has nothing to do with it.
Now a days, you really cannot trust any investment site most especially cloud mining. Aside from the return of investment was too slow you are not sure if how many days will run before they turned out into a scam. I had learned my lesson since hash ocean turned to scam. I dont even get a single cents of my investment in hash ocean, same with the other cloud mining. Mow bitcoins are the source of scammer to earn.
