Lol I think it's not a funny thing, I think it's reasonable if they do not already know about bitcoin, because bitcoin is not too well known in their area. so I think we should do something like telling them
I tried to share my piece of experience with bitcoin to my neighbor but well it was like they are hearing an alien language lol. They tend to just nod for listening sake and did not even inquire about it. I even told them the possible opportunity bitcoin may give but well they have their job and just ignore me lol. Sad but this is true.
As a non-native English speaker, if someone talked to me using uncommon or deep English words, I would also just nod to let the moment pass. I don't understand you and I think it would be rude to tell you to stop talking so I guess your neighbors were just being polite there. Your neighbors don't know the terminologies of the cryptocurrency, but at least you did introduce them to bitcoins. Maybe at some point they'll look it up online. They're living in comfort right now because they have a stable job but once they face financial crisis, that would increase the chances of them being interested in bitcoins.
