I think that you guys need to stop making a competition between BTC and Eth. I don't see why both chains can't co-exist and address different use-cases. Each chain will have its own set of apps and services that will better fit that chain. Not every service needs relative expensive ultimate immutability backed up by energy platform, like the Bitcoin blockchain offers. Some services may want to trade that for agile and flexible platform.
It is still way to early to tell. Bitcoin just starts to develop top/side layers, and Ethereum is still in its unstable beta stage.
Word! It would mean that only Google can have search browser and others are doomed. And even though google is far the biggest so far that doesnt mean that everyone are using it. For some other search engines are more desirable. Problably you do not search porn on google
