If someone is truly desperate, they would try to work any job they could find. Simple as that. If you aren't willing to do what it takes to pay bills, then you aren't actually desperate.

That's true, instead of looking for some other things then you should be able to have your own job. But if there are some other reasons that you really need money and you are desperately in need for it. Then you will need to look for some other things if you are not employed then you should need to sell some stuffs that you don't need anymore.
Your job is very important, without a job you will be having a hard time finding money to spend for your daily needs. We must not be lazy enough to rely on things that hard to be done, take the easy one and that's by looking a job.

In deed job is very important, if you are in need of money badly, and you want to loan some money, your job salary will be enough to be the  collateral of the amount you are about to borrow.  Having a job means the person have a fix income and are considered capable to pay if he is about to apply for a loan.
