It was clearly stated on the web page that the miner had a fee. And the shown rates were with fee deducted, so no user was tricked into anything. Code is not based on anything other, I wrote it myself from scratch.
The problem is there is asymmetric information : YOU know how much you're making, because you code it, and you chose it that way. But we don't. And that creates a completely untrustworthy context which makes people more willing to cheat you, because essentially, what you are doing is cheating us by not saying anything and parading behind a "what you see is what you get, nothing else matters".
If you're too afraid of clearly stating the fee, maybe it's because you know yourself that's its too high. And that's not how you get much support.
