What is the fastest way to sync on Mac OSX?
I seems to take ages.
Monerod has been running for quite some time and still +850 days behind...

Can you post your hardware specs and version of OSX? Are you using an SSD?

try something like this:
bitmonerod --out-peers 1 --p2p-bind-ip 127.0.0.1 --db-sync-mode fast:async:1000
