.... Everyone is a noob in the beginning so saying if you dont understand something move on, isnt as good as helping someone understand perhaps, its not that difficult is it? Mining is critically important so anything that will help and encourage it, keeping it more decentralized, cant be a bad thing now can it

OK, I guess there's a translation issue. I never said "move on", I said "not ready" (as in you have more to learn).
IMO, it's not up to any dev/coin to hold your hand and teach you, step by step, every specific way conceivable to obtain that currency. I do think that if there is something about that coin that is specific to that coin, then that information should be disclosed (and in this instance it is "algo" in the config file and it is disclosed on an off-site forum* chocked with more information than any single coin site could, should, or would retype).
*The main site does, in fact, have a section titled "Useful DigiByte Links" and that section does, infact, link to page 1 of this thread.
