Because Yaris was a HUGE selling car during the whole oil crisis. They have retained their values though. Mine comes with flashy wheels and whatnot but it has been babied and is still under 75k miles which is rare on these econoboxes. Forgot to add that it is a blast to drive on twisty roads still.
