When I gamble on slot games that's my strategy to make higher bets. For example I start from 0.0001 btc and loose, then I double my bet and loose again, then I double my bet again to 0.0004 btc and gamble and ect. When I finally win I became in plus with such strategy. And after the win I start all over again from the minimal bet.
it's Martinfail strategy, you always double your bet after you lose, there's nothing special about your strategy. The worst part, you'll beaten easily if you always using that strategy.

How much you called those two smaller and two larger bets? are those bets 1 satoshi for smaller and 0.001 for bigger bets?
Where were you gamble? dice game or sport betting, or poker?
That's just normal things in gambling, you can't sure which one of your bet will win.
