Someone has opened a wallet that hasn't been unlocked since January 2016. So he have very old coins to mint with,.... Each block he find with coins that old have a trust value way higher than standard block. When these old coins will finish minting orphan ratio will return to normal...
And as you can see, POS difficulty is lower than 2 days ago, so this situation should come to an end soon.
Sorry for the inconvenient... As a miner myself, I know how it feel to have our found block orphaned at that rate...

Appreciate your offer of coins but it's not necessary. I do these things as a hobby and for the learning experience.
To me, It feels incorrect to give POS blocks a higher priority over POW and I wonder why that decision was made. POW blocks have a real cost involved whereas POS cost is almost nothing. Wouldn't it be more realistic to have POS and POW given the same priority? Each have their respective difficulty that controls their generation rate. Am I missing something else to consider?
