With the new RISE architecture RISE developers keep the importance of scalability in mind and are aiming to create a platform with a capacity of up to 2,000 transactions per second (TPS). This is on par with for instance the average TPS of VISA.
Visa has many times more than 2000 TPS
CryptoWiz420, you're absolutely right if you are refering to the
PEAK capacity of VISA which is up to 56,000 TPS. What I was refering to is the
AVERAGE TPS that VISA handles, which is about 2,000.

We understand that there are projects with even greater TPS, for instance Graphene with a potential maximum of 100,000 TPS, but we believe that 2,000 TPS (172.8 million transactions a day) will serve the practical purpose of a multi-lingual DAPP platform more than adequately for many years to come.
