some of my rigs reverted back to v8.

v9 has some serious stability issues that needs to be adressed.
Check clocks, volts, and PSUs.  I haven't had a single crash on 24 cards (470/480).  I have moderate undervolt and have PSUs at ~70% load.

So you think with so many people complaining about v9 load spikes that everyone is having hardware problems?
The more likely answer is that v9 has a stability issues as v8 works perfectly fine for everyone.

Agreed. Waiting for "9.1". I've read the arguments, but this is not a stable miner.

All wrong.
Not Claymore built your rigs with too little power headroom, you did. Miner is 100% stable, you just need to have good enough power to handle the spikes OR lower intensity, reduce clocks etc. If this algo means that there are spikes, then spikes there are. As some guys said here the spikes can be about 2x over average, so your PSU has to have about 2x headroom over average to be 100% stable to run v9 with max settings. If v8 is better for you, then fine, use it. But there is absolutely 0 problems with v9 as such or with any previous version too, all of them have been 100% stable.
