don't see mt.gox as an option on bitinstant anymore.
I'm guessing they pulled it temporarily to catch up with orders and such.

If BitInstant can't scale up as Bitcoin becomes a world class currency, then they deserve to fail.

Me personally?  I am finally doing what I should have done - I am verifying my MtGox account.  Then I can fund directly from Dwolla and won't have to pay 20 per $1000.  This is horse-shit.

But you are still going to use Bitinstant, right? Also when you dump funds into Dwolla they hold them for 7 days. You can't do anything.

That really depends.  It would be hard to say at this point because I did my 'instant' transfer on Thursday - got answers late Friday.  I was very upset, having lost the opportunity to buy back in at $77.00 (had it been instant), knowing that I HAD timed things right and now, it's nearly 4 days later, and we are nearing $100.00 again on Gox - I got several emails explaining things but no resolution.

Last I heard it was queued and would process, Friday night, blaming the MtGox API and DDOS attack.  But, MtGox is fast now, and volume is only 21k (rare to see it that low).  If Bitinstant were my business, I certainly would not take the weekend off - nor would I leave this many people hanging for so long.

Not worried about Dwolla. I can deal with a system where I know they are going to hold my money for 7 days - I just maintain $5-7k there so I don't have to wait to make transfers. (the bank pays no interest anyway.)

Well, we will see what happens when Yankee resurfaces tomorrow.  If he handles things, I will try one more - within unspoken limits and see if it goes through.

You do realize that the only reason that the price went down to $77.00 was because Mt.Gox was under a DDOS attack. No one got coin at that price because the orders could no go through. You were not going to get that price anyway. Second thing was you violated the terms of service for using Bitinstant by trying to slip $3000 dollars into the system. I think Charlie is being gracious by even considering letting the transaction thru considering the legal ramifications for him. You do realize he doesn't have to do anything, could probably tie you money up for a significant amount of time while investigating before refunding it to you. Just be nice and respectful and Charlie will push your transaction thru as soon as it's legally possible for him to do it. There has been zero evidence of them trying to scam anyone yet people come in here and say it all the time. Most of the time it is because of their own error or an API error that is outside of their control. Give them some time and they will get it fixed for ya.

Oh yeah just like most businesses they don't work weekends.
