anyone else been able to sync up?
How many gigs is the fully sync'd wallet right now?

Hi guys, finally my node is up and fully synced.
ip: 5.189.154.154
It needed almost two weeks to complete the sync from the scratch.
Asap I'll upload the chain somewhere for whom dosn't want to wait so much to completely sync
The good news is the chain doesn't seem to be broken.
Stay tuned.

p.s.: the size of the chain db is about 690MB

Hi, would you kindly upload the chain and provide link to it,  THANKS.

Here you go:

It's the full %AppData%\BeeCoinV2 folder except the wallet of course.

Thanks that's great.

I see a lot of old beecoin members coming back here lately Smiley

That's great for the coin and community.

It's good that soopy has helped us get the chain synced. We just need to decide what to do next.

I know some have suggest a swap to a anon code base like zcash or zcoin. However we would need a dev that understand this tech.

It may be better to stick with a more simple and easy to work with code base for now.

However some additional features could be added or patched in from other open source coins.

POSa3 from cloak looks interesting not sure if that could be used with full credit given to them of course.

A masternode system would be nice or variable rate POS depending on how much you hold and how long you hold.

Whatever need to be sure to sync up and keep synced up for now to secure the chain.

We need a road map for a developer to follow with milestones along the way for which we will release the community pot to them.

Exchanges will be needed in the future too but for now it's just good to discuss the road map for the coin itself.

I think that it is best for us to do the major upgrades, HARDFORK or SWAP (whatever is applicable), before we get listed on any exchange OR we do the swap through an exchange.

In either case, we want most of the important updates to be done, before we get on an exchange, so that we all end up on the same chain.

I know that coins will always need updates occasionally, here and there, but we want Beecoin to have a MAJOR UPLIFT before hitting the exchanges.

This is true. However what coin design are we going for?

Perhaps a simple design like blackcoin I hear black is getting an important update soon so may be best to wait and upate to their latest codebase.

Or go old trusted design like zeit or something most devs are familiar with and can fix.

Or go new zcash, posa3, or some masternode system. As we increase complexity we need to find a developer who can take care of that. So need to keep this in mind.

I would like to find the most streamlined, POS coin and go with that. BTC is not packed with gadgets and that is doing ok. We just need the one that has the least bloat, capable of the most tx , and is secure.

However if the community wants to try and upgrade to something with gadgets that is more fancy to garner attention then that is what we will try to do.
