Here are some altcoins that I think it could be a good move to have in 2017. It would be nice to recheck in say, 3 months (march 2017) what is my success rate. I will explain how I would distribute in % of holding I would go. (So for example, I have 1000$ to invest, if I say I would go 10% on this one, then it's 100$)
1) ETH
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.01 BTC or 7,90$
Yes ETH price dropped a lot, but it seems now that the drop is over. It could go back to 1 000 000 000$ marketcap but of course I'm not all in for this one. Let's say 20%
2) Bitcoin
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 783$
Not that much to say, it's the king and since the halving in july 2016 that price is still rising slowly, but I don't expect it to double, so a safe bet. Another 20%
3) Monero
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.0108 BTC or 8,48$
Stay solid at over 100 000 000$ marketcap, could go easy to 150 000 000$ marketcap again. Another 20%
4) Blackcoin (BLK)
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.00003396 BTC or 0.0266$
This one is a different strategy. It seems to always oscillate between 2 000 000$ and 3 000 000$ marketcap. So right now it's time to buy and watch when a pump occur and then resell for profit (just before 3 000 000$) Another 20%
5) ESPERS (ESP2)
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.00000055 LTC or 0.000001996$
Ok this one is more for a homerun or nothing. It cost nothing, so risk is very low. If it gains attention it will enter BTC market and more exchange. So an easy X10 on this one if this occurs. so 10%
6) Litecoin LTC
Price this moment (2016-12-16): 0.004633 BTC or 3.63$
Not that much to say, it's the alt that bring them all, seems like it ain't dead. so 10%
So in my example, with 1 000$ as of today (2016-12-16) I would get:
20% in ETH so 25.3165 ETH
20% in BTC so 0.2554 BTC
20% in XMR so 23.58 XMR
20% in BLK so 7518 BLK
10% in ESP2 so 50 100 200 ESP2
10% in LTC so 27.54 LTC

Decent picks with decent justification man, but let me improve that sheet. Have in mind that I'm probably the best alt-investor in the scene
:- ETH: Hype cycle is coming the way down. Most probably ETH is gonna drop to 300-500 M market cap for many months and then will look for a stabilization there, until the built-in dapps start to work (or not), ETH shouldn't have a substantial rise this year. I don't see ETH touching 1B again until real dapps start do be useful (maybe in 2018).
Suggestion: Change that 20% for Maidsafecoin (MAID). In Q1-Q2 Safe network is gonna be LIVE, and believe me, that protocol working is worth way more than 30-40M that we're seeing now.
- BTC: Agree.
- Monero: There's a lot of hype currently in Monero, but let's face facts: Monero has passed from 5M to 110M this 2016, and still no GUI, no real adoption, no nothing. It's a well known fact that Monero is supported by huge BTC holders, but that alone is not enough reason to invest. Short term looks primed for another rise to the 0.02 zone, just as ETH did after the first "crash", but that is a short term bet for traders, not for investors.
Suggestion: Take a look at Gamecredits (GAME). Penetration the REAL gaming sector starting this 2017. Expert and dedicated dev team with past succesful experiences in gaming sector, and with a great financial state to develop the project. If they reach only the 50% of acomplishments they want this 2017, price will easily make an X4-X5.
- Blackcoin: Agree, but don't sell when it touches 3M, when chinese pump, they pump hard.
- Espers: This piece of shit most probably will be ever added to a BTC pairing exchange.
Suggestion: If you're looking for a risky shitcoin that can make an X10, take a look at solid coins like FLO, VIA or XVG. Maybe not an X10, but a very possible X5-X7.
- Litecoin: Agree.
