I just upgraded my S9 from bmminer 1.0 to cgminer 4.9.2
My error rate is MUCH lower. One downside is now I can not see chip temperatures.
Well considering that one was made by a scammer who's code includes going to his site ... I'll say now - discuss it elsewhere.
Should I uninstall it?
I have no idea - and I wont promote software by scammers.
He had a (very short) run of good luck here on the pool long ago and then followed that up with fake posts about how he had changed cgminer to make it something like 14% faster/luckier.
His all time stats before I locked his account (long ago): 8 Blocks - 9.77543827 BDR - yep less than expected
No big deal - but there was no: oh wow my miners are luckier coz I did magical fourier hacking to cgminer to make it hash faster - everyone use my faster cgminer that you have to pay me to use ...
Yep that's a scam.
