Sometimes you don't really any funding to create something revolutionary and bitcoin was an example for that . I'm with the idea of creating a coin as long as It's used for something and not simply a copy of another coin , If we take DASH , Monero , Zcash , BitcoinDark and many others , all of them claiming that they are anonymous and everyone trying to pump his coins to be the next big thing while It's not how It should work. In reality , we don't really need those coins as bitcoin could be improved to be more then pseudonymous.
MaidSafe for example is offering something new a decentralized internet where ChronoBank is a Time-based coin , those are things that we didn't see in the past few years and this is why they are going to succeed while others won't so as long as the idea is good and unique , the coin Itself should be good but of course marketing and campaign to advertise are always needed.
I totally agree with you, their are so many coins in the market but out of them 95% of the coins are offering same and after they hit exchange and after pump and dump the coin dies. Their should be the coin with feature of using it on long time, just like bitcoin used as digital currency and it is used just like fiat currency to do lot of things. Until the new coin have its own unique features they wont survive, like ICONOMI (ICN) coins they are giving the platform of Mutual Fund in Digital Crypto currency and giving option out of crypto currency users to utilize the power of crypto currency. That is the unique feature which gives coin a long term prospectus and users also enjoy it for long term.
