No one else will get fun if he is losing in any gambling.
Unless the player's main purpose is to entertain himself and have relaxation or socialize with other people thru gambling means. I have experienced this once, I was playing with my friends, it was a poker type game, with real money as a bet. I enjoyed the moment even though I lost around 2 days worth of my salary. I think it depends on the mindset of people playing. If we condition our mind to play for entertainment and we accepted that the money is for entertainment, I think we won't be affected negatively if we lose it playing gambling games.
The atmosphere is very important when we gamble if we are playing an informal game of poker or maybe we made a bet with some friends in a game, then most likely you will not mind a lot losing some money because no one is doing it for the money but the fun, but when you go to a casino full of strangers then things change you want to beat them and leave with more money, so when you fail to do that then the losses are taken more seriously.
But it is normal that when we gamble we usually aim to earn some amount while we play. But poker is totally different from dice games because we are playing with our friends and there is some live interaction, although there's no doubt that both games are the same giving purpose to be entertained and give chance to earn some profit.
