Shouldn't you have generated 500 coins that block?
I think the rewards are based on the block#. With 1 minute blocks, 60 * 24 = 1440. When I started to mine, the block # was ~500.
Blocks were flying by with the very low difficulty.
Apparently now with the retarget, we're on day 3. Difficulty is too high for my laptop cpu
