nothing makes it interesting, as it is a straightforward clone of bitcoin with zero improvements or additions.
A huge difference is the block reward. You get 50 BTE vs 25 BTC

Bitcoin started with a block reward of 50 BTC.
plus, the block reward does not matter, 500 BTE would mean each BTE is only worth 1/10 as much.
