Countries whereby they cut down trees without planting new one can cause global warming, soil erosion which can damage the environment, so a lot of education especially the thirds world countries were you don't have proper enlightenment
I agree, deforestation is one of the main cost of global warming, soil erosion and even air pollution. Trees serves as the LUNGS of Mother Earth. Companies should replace trees that were cut down with new ones, not only one but dozen making sure that there is a substitute incase the small tree will die. We should do reforestation so we can restore Earth's lungs. By reforestation we can mitigate Climate change. We can even prevent soil erosions and flash floods.
Right now, the vast majority of the global deforestation is occurring in a handful of tropical countries, such as Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, Congo.etc. The forests in these regions are cleared for the creation of Mahogany and Palm oil plantations. If the western nations stop importing palm oil and mahogany, then the deforestation will be reduced by a great amount.
You forgot to mention China. There are also very much cut down forests. I am sure that there are no appeals to reduce the use of palm oil will not lead to the result. This is a business and businessmen are not interested in what is happening somewhere.
