As I'm sure you have heard Darknet is looking to re-brand the project so as to not have a name which brings a negative connotation to peoples minds. A community member paid from his own pocket a professional branding company to help come up with some ideas for new project names. I think everyone should note that the issue here is getting away from Darknet brand and into something that does not bring unwanted attention toward the project. I don't think the project will ever sacrifice privacy for transparency (as CA says about Dash) but a re-brand is necessary not only for reasons mentioned above, but also because the Darknet name is confusing. When I first heard it I didn't even know it was a crypto and I've seen a few others say this as well.

So, with that said we would like to invite all the community members to participate in a vote for a new name. Include in the message an email address which you will be submitting your vote from. That is all I will need. When the vote is ready we will send out an email with a link to cast your vote. You will have 24 hours (maybe more) to cast your vote.
