The reality is that predictions are meaningless - how many predictions have been off the mark on BTC - the Mt. Gox hack is a good example. I do think that many of the BOT predictions on BTC are based solely on previous prices and the look of the graphs. But BTC has so much going on that have nothing to do with previous prices.
I think expert's prediction have weight, I agree a mere newbie's prediction like me is meaningless. Charts and graphs are use to be reference on the price movement during an event , referring to graph alone without referencing on the event that happen on that time is useless and an often mistakes of newbie setting aside the event that happen during that particular rise or fall in price of BTC. Experts do the right thing charts, news, graph history with certain news, analyzation then prediction.
