People blindly keeping their Waves out of exchanges are losing a lot right now as Waves is going seriously down with the unstoppable BTC rise... Don't be foolish and get caught in that "awesome" plan and go back in alts when BTC will be stable. Community Token is a nice idea but this is a very bad time to release it (not Waves Team fault)...
Not everybody has the time and energy to keep track of all their investment values all the time to actively trade them.
Most people simply want to be in and don't care about the day to day price, as long as it will appreciate in value over the next years. Sure, you may miss out on some gains or increases in holdings, but it is a lot less stressfull and time consuming.
Not to forget those that get involved because they think the project is interesting.
For some trading is secondary.
