PIVx? Sorry but it not sounds like cryptocurrency at all.
Ripple, Ethereum, Dash, Steem, Waves etc all don't sound like crypto currency to me if I didn't know any better.
Heck, even DARKNET doesn't sound that crypto either.
One positive thing to note is that it is very rare to find a short name like PIVX that nets zero search results on Google.
So at least I think that's a very good start. PIVX is also an acronym which is very much crypto. Another plus IMHO.
Anyways, for any new name, it is normal to take a long time to sink in.
I've known it for days and is only now slowly starting to grow on me...
P.S. Media company will now be creating the name and logo design etc. Expect more updates as we receive them!

I really hate to say this but Dash is a way better name and I detest that scam coin.
I like Raptor - describes the coin well. Intelligent, stealthy, effective....
Are there really devs queuing up to help dnet if we change the name?
I guess if PIVx floats their boat and they will help dev the coin then that's all that matters. I feel less confident about this coin now for some reason.
I guess it leaves the name darknet free for another coin now. That is annoying too. I thought it was a great name.
I only have a handfull of masternodes so it's not a huge deal. Although if I was holding 50+ of them I would have tried harder to resist PIVx
I really like Raptor too! Or just keep the DNET for "Digital Network" or "Decentralized Network" token!
