not sure if this is where i should post this but I've not been able to sync my wallet for sometime now (about 50 days!)

are there any troubleshooting steps anyone can advise?

I have v1.3.0.0: EVER(beta) wallet

my last block was 47 days ago. wallet is saying i have 2 peers but doesn't move from the number of days for the last block or the total number of blocks.
I am on a Mac osx 10.11.6

It does sound like you are stuck in a fork. You will need to resync with the network. There is a very recent snapshot available that will speed with resyncing.

BUT, give me about 20 more minutes while I finish testing v1.4.2 and you can upgrade at the same time.

Sorry you are having difficulties. Version 1.4.2 has measures in it to prevent this from happening. Links will be posted in about 15-20 minutes.

EDIT: Just a few more minutes for these tests please. There is no reason these tests should fail but, just for good measure and better safe than sorry. Links will be posted ASAP.

By "open your other wallet", I presume you mean to open your old v1.3 EverGreenCoin wallet. To do this, you simply execute the v1.3 EverGreenCoin-Qt file the same as you had in the past.

But that will not alleviate the fork issue you seem to be stuck in. To do that, follow the instructions in this post. There is no reason the v1.4.2 wallet would crash as opposed to v1.3 other than your current and what must be incorrect copy of the blockchain does not meet a check point that is now hard coded into the v1.4.2 wallet. The solution to this is also resyncing.

I will PM you now with some other diagnostics we can perform.

EDIT: The application data directory on mac would be /Users/YOUR USERNAME HERE/Library/Application Support/EverGreenCoin/
