It had to happen eventually, someone started a "Chesscoin" that has absolutely nothing at all to do with chess.

(insert word here)coin

U are noob and should not chew this beautiful product out. This is a currency developed for folks with brains, it will broaden adoption of brain games across the globe pretty much like btc facilitated adoption of principles and standards of decentralization.

A noob profile calling a Legendary member a noob  Grin ... whats even funnier is I'm one of the strongest chess puzzlemakers in history.

www.zimbeckchess.com

A real "chess coin" would allow gambling (maybe payable to winners of private games on lichess.com) or mining for advancing tablebases or boinc projects or renting out the mining power for opening analysis. But just naming a coin chesscoin doesn't mean anything. I could name a coin baseballcoin but if it has nothing to do with baseball then what the hell is the point?

Plus, 32% is too much. The coin can't hold value if it inflates at that rate.

I think this is something the dev misses,he did not reach to people who are experts in the world of chess so this coin is going nowhere and it's hard for it to associate it to the chess industry, chess has a very large community maybe one guy could come along who knows chess and blockchain also..

Well my friend I know blockchain as well as chess... I'm the dev of BitHalo/BlackHalo/BitBay. Unbreakable contracts and hundreds of other features.

www.Bithalo.org
www.bitbay.market

BitHalo/BlackHalo was worlds first smart contracting software years ahead of Ethereum. My software has a full UI to do contracts unlike ETH where people still can't get a UI. I had decentralized markets a year ahead of Open Bazaar in BitBay and Halo. Now we are working on decentralized pegging.

But heres the thing. I'm not trying to flaunt credentials... the other fool called me a n00b and it was ironically hilarious. And not trying to be rude to the "dev" either. Honestly I was just commenting because it was funny to me I was looking at the bottom of coinmarketcap and saw chess and laughed about it.

The problem with crypto is people starting projects when all they care about is money. They lie to themselves as if they actually care about the cause of the coin when in reality they need to make money so hope to bait naive investors with fake profiles on BCT. Even well intentioned devs get involved who know nothing about coding so therefore are never able to deliver anything. And the problem is when they start coins without knowledge of how to dev and in this case without a clear game plan of how this coin has anything to do with chess.

Thats like naming a coin "baseballcoin" and hoping Barry Bonds sees it and gives you an idea and money. Shit does not work like that. The only way to do a coin is to deliver a working prototype FIRST before announcing a product. This way you build some trust with investors instead of promising them things.

If the chess community wants a coin, they would start one of their own instead of supporting a premine to make a guy rich just because he named a clone "chesscoin". I'm of course happy to support anything to do with chess. But not when the dev doesn't mention anything about chess in the OP and has 32% interest which is nonsense. Chess players with "brains" are smart enough to know that 32% interest goes up almost exponentially and completely dilutes their original investment. Unless they buy early and dump on so called "n00bs". And then distribution of the coin via ICO... people are tired of ICO. Returning the ICO funds is honorable however it wasn't the best strategy to begin with. Best to simply do POS mining distributed to confirmed reddit profiles or free coins to bitcointalk members like NEM did. If dev wants a percentage, give himself around 1-5% of newly mined coins like Zcash does. I doubt anyone would complain about that.

But what is so funny about all the new random (insertnamehere) projects is the only people they end up fooling is themselves.

All I can say is "where have you been when chesscoin is just starting out" the dev really made a mistake for not reaching the right people for this project, but since it here maybe in the future a take over for one chess community is possible or the dev Isolani can reach the right people since chesscoin is still a young coin..
