Heck. I don't even like Bitmain that much. I really don't care about what happens to the company. I only use the miners because they make the most money. As soon as bitfury gets their heads out of their ass's. I'll buy from them. If the A7 was any where close to being comparable.  I would buy from them. I only care about making the most amount of money so I can continue to grow my mining business.
Yep that's pretty reasonable Smiley

My stats posts, which are supposed to have nothing to do with that Tongue, are about the fact that a particular firmware, S9v1 has REALLY bad luck on the pool.
To the point where it is unlikely to just be "bad luck"

The S9v2 so far has been good (above expected luck), but like the A7, not a lot of data yet.

The new firmware from bitmain S9 or R4 seem to take a post 10mins before staring to hash. As any of you wonder what happen during these 10mins? Can it be possible that the miner warm up hashing somewhere for bitmain ?  Its only 10mins but multiply by x it can be substantial
The A7 did that also, but my minor fix to the cron timing made it a lot shorter.
It may be related?

Also, the A7 is normally quite slow to get up to full speed to avoid overrunning the 16nm chip limits - maybe Bitmain thought that was a good idea also ... to reduce failures? Tongue

If I had the answer to how many a week BitmainWarranty repairs, that would give a good idea of the amount of failures the S9 has.
The fact that he "couldn't" tell me maybe also suggests something ... ... ...
