Some of what you say here is true but that doesnt mean gambling will ruin your life. If you have an addictive personality and cannot control when to stop gambling, then yes you prob shouldnt gamble. If you have self control and just wanna toss a few dollars around here n there then youll be fine.

Self control in my opinion can be gained before you gamble or even after you gamble. On the other hand self control can also be gone during the time that you gamble that happens when you already are addicted to it. Although you are right as well because in the first place we gamble to release stress

Gambling is never done with the hope of releasing stress. Its done with the hope of earning more and when things go out of our expectation the stress gets burst. So need to have limits as well need to have a clear sketch on the reason to gamble. If you're a person holding large amount then it's cool, else it affects us much even if we lose with a small amount.

I disagree. Some of my friends gamble exactly for that reason. They know they will lose some money but that amount will be miniscule compared to what you should spend on doctors and on medications if you want to release stress and tension.
