Some peers stuck at 32004, some at 10775, some at 930237, some at 1047786 - but all of them at the same blockchain and their wallets have version 0.8.2!!!

Thats a peer ur husband put up to maliciously invade ur machine. U need to either manually remove it from ur peer database or ban it in ur firewall. I would go with the latter.
