It doesn't have to be unique.  As long as it's challenging, entertaining and addictive, people will play out no matter how high or how low the stakes.  If you want some ideas of that games are good try copying some of the games at gambit.com.  They used to accept Bitcoin.  I used to go there a lot.  It's a shame they quit accepting BTC.  The site had so much potential.
