This user is always ignored.

Such naive idealism from our passionate would-be saviours.

I see Dash as being much more like Apple than, say, Debian, and I know very well which is a better investment.

Decentralization has both good and bad consequences.  If you turn it into an object of worship, then you have joined a cult.

Is stock ownership in Apple "decentralization theater"?  Were Jobs & Woz mere cult leaders?  Are investors, product managers, engineers, salespeople and the whole infrastructure of Apple just an evil hierarchy?  Is Apple a scam?

Frankly, I am not on board with the whole "there are no leaders" thing.  Leadership and hierarchies are necessary to get things done.  So far, Evan and the few people who make the big decisions are doing an excellent job, and the noisy complaints of children who are butt-hurt that they don't get an equal say is very boring, to say the least.

I think you hit the nail on the head.  It's hard to please everyone unfortunately, but the dissonant voices are at the same time important and helpful to hear.

Your description of Dash as a hybrid is very true and well said, thanks Smiley
