When is the site expected to be back upline?

Our goal is to have everything back online tomorrow with support for IPFS added. This will not be a visible change to users of the site (except for submitting new media) and will result in media loading and playing much faster than the old site. We still fully support webtorrents but are looking into the alternative p2p delivery system due to its increased reliability, scalability and responsiveness.

With webtorrents it generally took 10-30 seconds for a video to play. With IPFS we are looking at 1-10 seconds in most cases with less issues of dead links.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, we will also be looking into other p2p distribution methods so that as technology advances, our site will function fully with as many relevant technologies as possible. These improvements will NOT change how the site functions but rather making it easier for the site to grow with our userbase.

In fact, it is amazing you guys are making use of the latest technologies. Its really nice to see such passionate and highly competent people at work. I would like to express my full respect to you guys.

I have never considered IPFS to be technology mature enough to base something on it. But I am no expert in this area, so I would like to ask you: how would you estimate the maturity level of that technology, and do you think it is going to be as flawless and polished as WebTorrents are? In general, I developed skeptic approach to everything originated from crypto (including IPFS) - meaning I agree there are great ideas, but most of them are just experimental. Now you are going to utilize the concept for real working system of supposedly big scale. So is my question - do you think the IPFS tech is out of purely experimental stage?
