It did take him money to make money though. I believe his initial investment was worth 60 btc.

Successful leveraged gamble on an exchange would do that. (I call it gamble because for these past few days the trend has been very hard to read, at least for me).

There are many ways to turn 60 BTC into 230 BTC, most of whose don't require the killing of people in the know.
